my dad just came over "we ok" but we not visiting each other to see
each other. he raving to mum again about a painting, and it's my
painting now mum didn't want me to say so but i did and then a shit
storm broke out because my sister wasn't consulted about me being
given it.

dad reckons the artist is the fasted painter in the world and did
portraits on a tv show, he might of been the guy on abc who had a
series every week this year... i only caught up on the conversation
afterwards. anyway the worth of the painting is meant to be very high
because the artists famous.

mum say if it's worth like a hundred grand my sister has a right to be
be a bit ticked off but i'm not going to sell it or anything, it's too
good... i wanted it since i grew up INSIDE it... it's mystical. i'm
not even going to show you a photo but it's like a moody blues album
cover with a ruin in twilight.

ok well..... dad was talking about this book too. he visits the
forest alot now days it's his little haven, and must have heard about
this book about the "tingle" folk in the woods. he wanted to get me
there before we divorced companies.

he is crazy over this other picture i have of a sea captain and a man
who looks like humphrey bogart in a boat with a ship sailing straight
at them from another era (or a reconstruction). i might give it to him
for his birthday. i said if i did give it to him he'd have to take it
offensively (the boat is headed toward catastrophe, apparently).

don't know why i posted it's pretty mundane to you guys. but i am
interested personally.

it's my favourite painting. the book about the "tingle" folk might be
entertaining local mythos, but no my dad's not gone crazy... about
that, specifically. it should be worth a few grand at least more
probably and my dad wants it because of that and my sister is just
sour because mum gave it to me without "consulting" her.
